Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has moved to expedite final confirmation proceedings for the National Labor Relations Board chair in a last-minute push to preserve President Joe Biden’s labor agenda as an incoming Trump administration looms.
Schumer’s move Monday to file for cloture on NLRB Chair Lauren McFerran will set up a floor vote to cut off debate. If she clears that hurdle, she’ll be eligible for a final confirmation vote.
Schumer also filed for a cloture vote on Joshua Ditelberg to fill the open Republican NLRB seat.
