Biden DOL’s First Race Bias Suit Targets ABM Janitorial’s Hiring

ABM Janitorial Services discriminated against Black and White job applicants for janitorial positions in favor of Hispanic workers, the U.S. Labor Department’s contractor watchdog alleged in its first lawsuit in the Biden era.

The company, a subsidiary of ABM Industries Inc., discriminated against the job seekers at three locations—one in Baltimore and two in Alexandria, Va., according to an administrative complaint filed by the DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs on Sept. 15, but publicly announced Friday.
