Biden DOL Unschedules Trump-era ‘Focused’ Contractor Audits

The U.S. Labor Department will pause a Trump administration initiative of reviewing federal contractors for compliance with specific areas of the law, rolling back scheduled “focused reviews.”

The DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs announced in September 2020 “focused reviews” of contractor policies on accommodations, promotions, and workers with disabilities. The agency also said at the time that it would conduct compliance “checks,” an alternative to full compliance audits. The agency won’t proceed with the previously announced “focused reviews” or compliance checks, according to a Tuesday statement.
