A federal appeals court granted an immigrant group’s bid to block termination of deportation protections for almost 12,000 Afghans while a case over their status is appealed.
CASA Inc. requested a stay on Trump administration plans to cancel Temporary Protected Status for the Afghans beginning Monday. The US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit issued an order granting an administrative stay until July 21.
