Becton Dickinson Worker Mostly Advances Discrimination Lawsuit

A former Becton, Dickinson & Co. employee mostly defeated the medical device maker’s attempt to pare back her discrimination suit, but she can’t pursue a federal sexual harassment claim, a US court said.

The worker sufficiently alleged BD subjected her to a hostile work environment, failed to provide reasonable disability accommodations, and retaliated against her, the US District Court for the District of Maryland said. However, she waited too long to bring a claim for sexual harassment, it added in a Wednesday opinion.
