Bank Worker Fired While on Maternity Leave Has Viable FMLA Claims, Judge Rules

A bank information security officer in Ohio, who was asked to return to work while she was on maternity leave, raised triable issues that the bank violated the Family and Medical Leave Act when it terminated her employment two weeks later, a federal judge ruled June 16 (Carlin v. Geauga Sav. Bank, N.D. Ohio, 1:11-cv-01418-LW, 6/16/15).
