A former Bank of America employee in Illinois says she was denied accommodations, made to cancel medical appointments, told she should stay home with her kids, and then fired because she was pregnant, a federal lawsuit charges.

Madawi Bishtawi, who is Middle Eastern and Muslim, says the discrimination and harassment also targeted her national origin and religion. One supervisor told her it was her responsibility as a Middle Eastern women to stay home with her children.
