BAE Systems Workers Get Wage Deal Worth $6.3 Million Approved

A BAE Systems PLC unit and California workers who say it ran afoul of state and federal wage-and-hour law won final court approval for a settlement worth more than $6.3 million.

BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Inc. already paid out more than $1.8 million in individual settlement payments and retroactive premiums for missed breaks, and the deal adds $4.5 million in new funds, the US District Court for the Southern District of California said. Judge Anthony J. Battaglia signed off on the deal, which benefits more than 2,400 workers, July 25.
