The ship repair arm of BAE Systems Inc. has agreed to pay more than $3 million and make changes to its promotions and assignments practices to settle sex discrimination and related claims by a group of female employees at a Norfolk, Va., shipyard, according to court documents filed Aug. 31 (Aviles v. BAE Sys. Norfolk Ship Repair, Inc., E.D. Va., 2:13-cv-00418, motion for preliminary approval of settlement filed 8/31/15).
