Avon, Spinoff Reach Settlements in Pregnancy Bias Case (1)

Lawyers for Avon Products Inc., spinoff New Avon LLC, and three women who sued the companies for alleged class-wide discrimination against pregnant workers and nursing mothers told the Southern District of New York that “a resolution in principle” has been reached in the case.

The parties “are in the process of finalizing the settlement agreements,” they told Judge Vernon S. Broderick of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in a letter filed Wednesday.
