Auto Parts Maker Gestamp to Face Trial Over Leave Request Denial

A jury should decide whether an automotive parts maker illegally denied an Alabama worker’s request to take intermittent medical leave by forcing him to take a continuous leave until his conditions improved.

That was the conclusion of a federal district court, which July 18 denied Gestamp of Alabama LLC’s motion to dismiss George Brown’s claims under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act.
