Audits of DEI Grow Amid Legal Threat, Dollar Tree Executive Says

Companies will audit vulnerabilities in their diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in response to mounting legal and political scrutiny from groups seeking to unwind such initiatives, according to Dollar Tree Inc.'s chief diversity officer.

An audit reviewing everything from what a company’s health-care plan offers to what it states about DEI on its website may be a critical step companies take to address growing pushback, Dollar Tree’s Jessica Thomas said Friday at the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Conference in New York.
