An African American gay man and Dantanna’s in Atlanta agreed to dismiss the former server’s hostile work environment lawsuit against the restaurant.
Edwin M. Blakley III worked at the restaurant from June 2016 until his termination in December 2023. Beginning in June 2023, he allegedly experienced harassment from coworkers related to his sexual orientation. He reported the harassment to management, but it issued him a write-up. Blakley claimed he was retaliated against and fired after he filed a discrimination charge with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
