Atlanta Braves, Ex-Big League Scout Resolve Disability Bias Suit

The Atlanta Braves and a former major league scout who says he was demoted because of his hormonal imbalance disorder have agreed to resolve his employment discrimination lawsuit, Pennsylvania federal court records show.

Matthew Carroll alleged in the Aug. 19 suit that the demotion “blindsided” him and that the Braves later unfairly knocked his job performance to others in the industry, derailing his once promising career.

Counsel for Carroll notified the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Wednesday of the apparent settlement. Judge Cynthia M. Rufe entered an order dismissing the case later Wednesday.
