Arhaus LLC defeated a disability discrimination suit ahead of trial after a former employee with depression and anxiety failed to provide enough evidence that he was qualified for the job, a federal judge said.
The ex-design consultant didn’t put forth enough evidence for a jury to weigh in on whether he counts as a “qualified individual” under the Americans with Disabilities Act despite his work absences, dooming his bias case against the home furnishings chain, the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said.
