Applebee’s Franchisee Resolves Lengthy Wage Suits for $3 Million

An Applebee’s franchisee agreed to pay up to $1 million to workers who say it stiffed them on minimum and overtime wages, with a separate provision of $2 million to cover the workers’ attorneys’ fees.

The settlement follows more than a decade of litigation and can resolve the wage-and-hour claims of at least 1,000 workers at Manhattan, Brooklyn, and other New York City-area Applebee’s restaurants, according to documents filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
