Apple Negotiations for Union Contract in Oklahoma Moving Slowly

Negotiations for a union contract at an Apple Inc. store in Oklahoma City are slowly producing results even though the the two sides remain far away from a full agreement, a top union official said.

“There is bargaining that is taking place, and things are moving, but moving slowly,” Claude Cummings Jr., president of the Communications Workers of America, said Monday.

The Oklahoma City store became the second in the nation to unionize last year, following a vote among workers at a store in Towson, Md. Employees at both locations are still working without a contract.
