Apple Legally Fired Software Developer, Labor Board Judge Rules

Apple Inc. was cleared of allegations that it had improperly fired a corporate employee by a National Labor Relations Board judge Tuesday.

Ellen Shen, a former software developer at Apple’s office in California, was not protected under the National Labor Relations Act when she sent mass emails to her coworkers about personal issues with management, NLRB Administrative Law Judge Gerald Etchingham said in a ruling Tuesday.
