Appeals Court Mulls Booting Legal Challenge to Trump’s Union Ban

A legal challenge to President Donald Trump’s orders ending union rights for many federal workers could get kicked to an administrative labor board after federal appeals judges openly questioned whether it belongs in the courts.

In a hearing Monday, a three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit questioned whether they should consider a challenge to Trump’s executive orders, or rule that it belongs first in front of the Federal Labor Relations Authority, an administrative agency that deals with government-sector labor disputes.
