Appeals Court Dusts Off Challenge to H-1B Spouses’ Work Permits

A legal challenge to a 2015 regulation providing work permits to the spouses of skilled guestworkers is back in court after being put on hold for well over a year.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit Dec. 17 reopened the case, filed by a group of U.S. technology workers who say the regulation harms their job prospects. The U.S. workers now have until Jan. 16 to file a new brief in the case.
