Antitrust Merger Investigations Bolstered by Labor Agencies Pact

Four federal agencies have agreed to work together during antitrust merger investigations to better enforce workers’ rights by sharing information and coordinating fact-finding efforts.

The National Labor Relations Board, Department of Labor, Federal Trade Commission, and Department of Justice Antitrust Division said in a memorandum of understanding published Wednesday that they would collaborate to obtain information from various stakeholders and open up access to DOL and NLRB investigations during antitrust merger evaluations. The four watchdogs will meet bi-annually to discuss their coordination, the memo said.
