Anthem Shortchanged Employees on Overtime Pay, New Suit Says

Anthem is facing accusations that it violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and nearly 50 state and local laws by systematically underpaying dozens of employees across the country in a new lawsuit filed in a federal court in Indiana.

Former employees Ashley Harris and Lita Fillipo sued Anthem Companies Inc. under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the wage and hour laws of 46 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Harris and Fillipo, who worked as Anthem membership enrollment and sales employees, respectively, seek to represent others similarly situated in a nationwide FLSA collective action and state-law classes. ...
