Anthem was sued in Virginia federal court by a former call-center employee who says the health insurance and benefits company didn’t pay overtime and fired her based on an outside background check, without giving her notice or the chance to respond.
Shelita Cobb, who worked in customer service at an Anthem call center in Richmond, Va., sued individually and on behalf of other similarly situated employees in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
