Anchorage Hilton Illegally Sued Union, Labor Board Judge Rules

Anchorage Hilton violated federal labor law by suing a union for its efforts to organize a consumer boycott of the hotel, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled.

The hotel’s lawsuit against a Unite Here affiliate was objectively baseless and intended to retaliate against the union for seeking to persuade customers from using the hotel until it agreed to a fair collective bargaining agreement, Administrative Law Judge Gerald Etchingham held Wednesday.
