Amtrak and a Chik-Fil-A Inc. franchise have been targeted by some of the earliest publicly-disclosed charges filed with the EEOC under a law that expands protections for pregnant workers.
A Better Balance, a nonprofit advocacy organization, submitted the charges to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Wednesday, on behalf of workers who say they were denied reasonable pregnancy-related accommodations required under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act.
