Amerigroup Agrees to Settle Class Action By Paying $4.45 Million in Overtime Wages

Amerigroup Corp. has agreed to pay $4.45 million to settle class allegations that the health care company failed to pay overtime wages to marketing representatives, according to a proposed settlement agreement filed July 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York (Toure v. Amerigroup Corp.).

According to court documents, the class comprises approximately 943 current and former Medicaid marketing representatives who worked in New York for Amerigroup Corp. and Amerigroup New York LLC.
