American Express Narrows Racial Pay Gap in US Following Review

American Express Co., one of the few companies to offer a candid assessment of its efforts to more equally pay workers, said it has made progress in narrowing the gap in wages for White and racially diverse US employees.

Racially and ethnically diverse employees made 95.2 cents for every dollar paid to White employees in 2021, an improvement from 94.6 cents a year earlier, the company said Thursday in a report. Globally, female employees made 106.7% of the median pay for men.
