Amazon’s Online Message Board Rules Illegal, NLRB Judge Says (1)

Amazon.com Inc. violated federal labor law with its rules regulating an online digital whiteboard called “MyVoice,” which workers can use to engage with management by posting general questions about workplace issues, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled.

The rules limiting what workers can post on MyVoice, and who they can share comments and information from the platform with, are ambiguous, overly broad, and discourage workers from communicating about workplace concerns, Administrative Law Judge Michael Rosas held Tuesday.

Rosas rejected Amazon’s arguments that the rules for MyVoice were lawful because they served legitimate business purposes.
