Amazon Workers Nab Final Nod for $5.5 Million Wage Settlement

Amazon.com Services LLC and workers who say the company stiffed them on pay for time spent waiting to undergo Covid-19 screenings during the pandemic’s early stages secured final approval for a $5.5 million settlement.

The deal covers California workers’ temperature screening claims and the overtime claims of a group of out-of-state workers, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said. The settlement includes more than $1.8 million in fees for the workers’ attorneys, according to the Thursday final approval order.
