Amazon Workers Lose Bid to Block Seyfarth Shaw From Wage Case

Former Amazon.com Services LLC workers failed to show Seyfarth Shaw LLP ran afoul of ethical rules, dooming their bid to disqualify the firm from representing the company in a wage-and-hour case.

The law firm temporarily represented some former Amazon employees in depositions before realizing they’re potential class members. The plaintiffs didn’t sufficiently allege that Seyfarth’s limited representation of the other employees “adversely affected the integrity of the judicial process, much less that any such impact outweighs” Amazon’s right to its chosen counsel, the US District Court for the District of Colorado said Monday.
