Amazon Worker Screenings Wage Question Sent to Connecticut Court (1)

Amazon.com Inc. workers who say the company owes them pay for time spent on security screenings under Connecticut law have convinced the Second Circuit to ask the state’s highest court to weigh in.

That’s an unresolved issue and the Connecticut Supreme Court should get the chance to resolve the question, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said on Monday. If that time is compensable, the state high court should also address whether and when a de minimis exception applies, the opinion said.
