Amazon Takes Medical Pot User’s Job Bias Case to Federal Court (1)

Amazon stubbed out a package sorter candidate’s job offer after learning she uses medical marijuana to treat multiple debilitating conditions. That violated several New Jersey laws, the woman alleges.

The online retail giant removed the lawsuit, which Crystal Ramos originally filed in New Jersey state court, to New Jersey federal court April 18. Ramos is still deciding whether to try to get the case shifted back to state court, her lawyer told Bloomberg Law.
