Amazon Owes Wages to Last-Mile Delivery Workers, Lawsuit Alleges

Amazon.com Inc. and Amazon Logistics Inc. allegedly employed delivery associates jointly with a last-mile services provider but failed to pay proper wages for all of their hours, a new suit says.

The online retailer didn’t accurately record the delivery associates’ work hours or pay overtime, even though the associates regularly spent more than 40 hours per week delivering packages to Amazon customers, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Amazon didn’t immediately respond to a Monday request for comment.
