Amazon Finalizing Transgender Bias Settlement

Amazon and a transgender female employee who sued for harassment and other bias she allegedly faced while working at a Kentucky shipping facility need a little more time to finalize a proposed settlement.

The deal would also include claims by Allegra Schawe-Lane’s husband Dane Lane, who also worked at the facility. Their attorney Jan. 2 asked the court overseeing the case to give them and Amazon.com.KYDC LLC, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, until Jan. 15 to iron out the remaining details of their agreement.
