Amazon.com Inc lost its appeals court attempt to halt a National Labor Relations Board case while it litigates its constitutional challenge to the legal shields protecting board members and administrative law judges from being fired by the president.

The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Monday upheld a district court order that it lacked jurisdiction to issue Amazon’s requested relief under the Norris-LaGuardia Act, which blocks federal courts from granting an injunction in a case involving or growing out of a “labor dispute.”
