Amazon Delivery Drivers in California Sue Over Unpaid Wages

Two drivers who deliver Amazon.com Inc. packages accused the online retailer of using subcontractors “to shield itself from liability” for wage violations, even though it controls nearly every aspect of their work, in a new lawsuit filed in a California federal court.

Roy Huskey III and Sabrina Dennis, who are paid by Synctruck LLC to deliver hundreds of Amazon packages a day in Sacramento, allege the companies are joint employers liable for failing to pay all wages owed, including overtime, under the Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor and unfair competition laws.
