Amazon Contractor Daifuku Repels Class Certification in Pay Suit

A request for class certification in a California wage suit by a technician, who worked for a contractor on a conveyor system in an Amazon warehouse in California, was denied by a federal court.

Michael Shaw’s suit against his employer, Daifuku Services America Corp., included claims that the company didn’t pay him for all hours worked and didn’t pay minimum wages or overtime. Shaw also said that he didn’t get meal breaks and wasn’t reimbursed for business expenditures. He further alleged that he wasn’t given a proper wage statement and wasn’t paid for waiting time.
