Amazon.com Delivery Drivers Petition to Unionize in Wisconsin

A group of 75 delivery drivers for an official Amazon.com Inc. delivery provider in Wisconsin have filed paperwork with the federal labor board asking for a union election.

The drivers are seeking representation with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and could become one of the first groups of unionized Amazon delivery personnel in the U.S., according to the local union.

Although the drivers are employed by a logistics firm—Bear Down Logistics Inc.—they primarily deliver packages for Amazon. The company bills itself as “Amazon’s top-rated delivery partner” on its website and delivers for the company in seven states, including Wisconsin, Illinois, ...
