Amazon Can Contest NYC Union in Court After NLRB Decision (2)

Amazon.com Inc. illegally refused to bargain with the union representing thousands of workers at a New York City facility, the National Labor Relations Board said in a decision that clears the way for the company to challenge the union’s 2022 election victory in court.

The NLRB’s Wednesday ruling comes on the four-year anniversary of the groundbreaking union win at the Staten Island warehouse known as JFK8. Workers chose the upstart Amazon Labor Union, an independent union that affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in 2024.
