Amazon Delivery Partner Fails to Ditch Arbitration on Appeal (1)

Amazon Logistics Inc. held off a delivery partner’s bid to avoid arbitrating a wage dispute after the Fourth Circuit affirmed Tuesday that an exemption for transportation workers doesn’t apply.

Ahaji Amos doesn’t have an employment contract with Amazon, so she and her company—Kirk Amos Delivery & Courier LLC—don’t meet the requirements to take advantage of the Federal Arbitration Act’s transportation worker exemption, the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit said.
