Attorney Amanda Wood Laihow is slated to become the political deputy assistant secretary at the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.
Laihow—who previously served as a commissioner for the independent agency that reviews OSHA citations—would work alongside Scott Ketcham, the career-side deputy at the agency, which enforces workplace safety laws and regulations.
