The Air Line Pilots Association June 2 filed an application with the National Mediation Board seeking a representation election among some 2,200 pilots at JetBlue Airways.
ALPA said it filed election authorization cards from “a strong majority” of the airline’s pilots, who previously rejected representation by a proposed independent union, the JetBlue Pilots Association (21 DLR A-5, 2/4/09). The Forest Hills, N.Y.-based discount carrier, was founded in 2000.
