A medical assistant advanced claims that Albany Med Health System stiffed her and other workers on overtime pay for hours worked during meal breaks and before and after shifts.
The health system argued that the worker didn’t fix the problems the US District Court for the Northern District of New York identified with her prior complaint, which the court partially dismissed last year. But she added enough detail about when and how long she allegedly had to work off the clock to get her claims to the next stage, Judge Elizabeth C. Coombe said Thursday.
