Alan Dershowitz Fails to Revive Defamation Lawsuit Against CNN

Attorney Alan Dershowitz was unable to convince a federal appeals court to revive his lawsuit accusing CNN of defaming him by misinterpreting statements he made about his defense strategy for President Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial in 2020.

A three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit ruled that Dershowitz couldn’t win a defamation claim because CNN and its journalists didn’t act with actual malice in reporting on his statements.
