Agricultural Supplier Favored Foreign Workers, DOJ Says

Three U.S. workers were passed over for jobs with a Colorado-based company in favor of foreign workers on temporary visas, according to the Justice Department (United States v. Crop Prod. Servs., Inc., DOJ OCAHO, docket number unavailable, complaint filed 9/28/17).

This is one of the first cases filed by the DOJ under the agency’s “Protecting U.S. Workers Initiative.” The initiative stems from President Donald Trump’s April executive order establishing a “hire American” policy that requires the various federal agencies involved in the immigration system to develop ways of ensuring the protection of U.S. workers.
