Agency Probe Into Worker Centers Slow Going

The Labor Department’s investigations into worker organizing centers has resulted in just one completed probe since 2017, documents obtained by Bloomberg Law indicate.

The findings, possibly to the chagrin of some conservative groups, indicates that the DOL has been slow on what was expected to be a new approach to worker center investigations. These groups, which assist workers in various industries, have been raising their profiles while traditional unions have struggled to increase membership.
