Enforcement relief will be extended for insurers and health plans to calculate qualifying payment amounts used to resolve arbitration under the No Surprises Act, the Biden administration said Wednesday.
The Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, the Treasury, and the Office of Personnel Management issued guidance in the form of Frequently Asked Questions, saying they’ve received requests from health plans for additional time to recalculate the qualifying payment amount used to determine disputed payments under the NSA.
