ADT Blasted by Court for ‘Extraordinary’ Bid to Eject Union (1)

A federal appeals court in Chicago rejected home security firm ADT LLC’s challenge to a labor board decision that it illegally withdrew recognition from a union based on a decertification petition that no unionized employee had signed.

ADT tried to eject an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers affiliate after the company closed two offices, including one with a unionized workforce, and combined them into a new facility, the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said Friday.
