Activision Fired Game Testers After Protest, Union Charges (1)

Activision Blizzard Inc. faces an unfair labor practice charge from the Communications Workers of America, accusing it of firing two workers for union activity.

The employees were fired after protesting Activision’s plans to bring workers back to offices, CWA said in a statement Tuesday.

The video game giant announced earlier this month that it would end remote work and require employees to return to the office three days per week. The policy change prompted protests from workers and two quality assurance testers in Eden Prairie, Minn., who “expressed their outrage using strong language,” the union said.
