Employer access to temporary foreign workers in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands will be determined by a lottery.
Petitions for CW-1 permits that are received by April 13 will be put into a lottery for the 4,999 slots available in fiscal year 2019, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced April 11. Any petitions received after April 13 will be rejected, the agency said.
Employers first could seek the permits for FY 2019 on April 2.
